LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- With two practices down and ten to go, UW-L football works its way through the spring practice schedule.
While there's plenty of uncertainty with the season still months away, coach Joel Dettwiler said he knows who his quarterback will be.
No surprises, the job is Andy Sires's to lose. In nine games last season, Sires threw for more than 1600 yards and eight touchdowns, only giving up five interceptions.
With the benefit of a full spring as the number one, Sires inspires confidence in his coach.
"Obviously I would assume he's going to do what he's supposed to over the summer, but coming in he's going to be the guy stepping up," said Dettwiler. "I think that's good for him in a number of different ways, and good for us too."
