LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The drug unit of the La Crosse Police Department makes another arrest-this time an Illinois man-on a delivery of cocaine charge.
The department's Lt. Pat Hogan released details of the arrest Monday morning.
He said officers took 28-year-old Faron March of Rockford into custody Thursday evening at 506 Cass Street. The arrest was part of what Lt. Hogan said was an ongoing investigation of March by police.
When he was arrested, officers found 74.6 grams of cocaine worth what police say has a street value of $3,600.
The statement said police believe March is a "substantial drug dealer in the City of La Crosse and Western Wisconsin area."
"Well it's obviously a priority to us right now. We realize there is maybe a drug issue here in La Crosse and we are stepping up that enforcement," Hogan said.
March has a court appearance set for Monday afternoon in La Crosse County Circuit Court.
