LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)—Wednesday was the cable television debut for a group of young adults from La Crosse in the VH1 reality show Off Pitch featuring the Grand River Singers.
The Cavalier Lounge was packed with Grand River Singer supporters, there to watch the show on the big screen and take their turn on the red carpet.
Grand River Singers said the show isn't focused as much on the drama as it is on the fun they have as a group.
"It gives us the opportunity to make fun of our own quirks," Eric Busse, Grand River Singer said. "It's different than what most people will be expecting from a reality show."
"It really captures our fun and sense of humor and all of our quirkiness," Justin Cooke, Grand River Singer said.
Off Pitch has been called reality comedic gold by television critics.
An executive at VH1 said the Grand River Singers are authentic, passionate and viewers will feel obliged to cheer them on.
