ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Lions open the 2013 season on Sept. 8 against the Minnesota Vikings, and their schedule also includes a home Monday night game against Super Bowl champion Baltimore.
The Lions host the Ravens on Dec. 16. They'll face the Green Bay Packers in their traditional Thanksgiving game in Detroit.
The Lions made the playoffs two seasons ago but stumbled to a 4-12 record last year.
Detroit's open date occurs at the halfway point of the season, after the Lions have played eight games.
On Sept. 22, Detroit plays at Washington, where the Lions are winless in 21 games.
Detroit's last home game is against the New York Giants on Dec. 22, and the regular-season finale is Dec. 29 at Minnesota.
