LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Drugs and two men are in police custody following a drug raid at a Jackson Street home Friday night.

La Crosse Police released details of the arrests were release Monday morning.

Arrested was 30-year-old Jonathan R. Banaszkiewicz on several charges including delivery of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, and felon in possession of a firearm.

LCPD Lt. Pat Hogan states that investigators were targeting Banaszkiewicz for drug activities.

Friday afternoon, investigators gave chase after they saw him run from the home at 615 Jackson Street. During the chase, officers saw Banaszkiewicz toss a handgun away. Moments later, he was taken into custody.

Besides picking up the tossed gun, officers found methamphetamine and dextroamphetamine on Banaszkiewicz when they searched him.

Officers then searched the home on Jackson Street.  There they found marijuana and other drugs along with drug paraphernalia.

Lt. Hogan also said Banaszkiewicz has previous convictions for drugs and gun possession. At the time of Friday's arrest, he was on probation for a May, 2012 conviction for felon in possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamines.

The search also led to the arrest of 49-year-old John A. Irvin on a possession of marijuana charge.

Police also found a woman with her small child.

Banaszkiewicz is expected to make an appearance in La Crosse County Circuit Court Monday afternoon.
