ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) -- Hours before the 2013 NFL Draft begins, funding for the Vikings new stadium is being discussed at the state capitol today.
E-pulltab sales-- the main funding source for the stadium-- are far lower than projected.
Revenues are 95-percent less than expected so far, bringing in just $1.8 million dollars.
That's why Republican state senator Sean Nienow is introducing a bill requiring the team to pay for deficiencies in stadium funding.
Nienow says if the team doesn't help make up the difference money will be taken from schools and healthcare to finance the sports facility.
