LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - More than 10,000 people in Wisconsin have Multiple Sclerosis.
MS is a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system.
Saturday people gathered downtown for the MS walk, which is part of the Wisconsin Multiple Sclerosis Society's statewide fundraising campaign.
There are 18 events across the state.
Today we met a Green Bay man who has been taking part in the walks for over 15 years.
Sam Klika says the walks "put a little fun into something that is so devastating because the camaraderie...we get to know each other once again because lots of times we don't see each other except once a year for the walk."
Sam walked last week in the Green Bay walk and says his team raised over 7,000 dollars.
