Central clobbers Aquinas in battle of ranked teams


La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  The Central baseball team scored 8 times in the 2nd inning and road that big inning to a 12-2 win over Aquinas Tuesday at Copeland Park.

Clay Gale led the hit parade for Central by going 3 for 4 with 5 runs batted in.

Ben Faga added three hits, including a home run, and 3 runs batted in as well.

Marcus Klug was the winning pitcher.

Central improves to 7-0 overall, 4-0 in the MVC.

Aquinas falls to 11-4 overall and 3-2 in the MVC.

The Blugolds came in ranked number on in the state in division 3 according to the latest WBCA poll.

Central was ranked 5th in division 1.
