No threat for suspicious package found in Onalaska

Posted:

ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Onalaska Fire, Police, and a hazmat team respond to a suspicious package found Monday afternoon outside the Armed Forces Career Center.

However, the package was found to not be a threat.

Onalaska Police Chief Jeff Trotnic tells WXOW that authorities were called to the building at 9380 Highway 16 when the package was found. Trotnic called the package suspicious because the address didn't look right.

The area around the Career Center was blocked off while the hazmat team investigated.

The package was placed in a sealed bag by a hazmat team.

No injuries were reported.
