LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The outages across the country for Centurylink customers is finally resolved.
Roughly one million customers in 21 states, including Wisconsin and Minnesota, had their internet and phone systems interrupted for about nine hours. The outages started around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and lasted until noon.
A statement from the company said the problem with an electronic routing system was to blame.
They did issue a comment on their Facebook page, seen below, apologizing to customers for any inconvenience.

WXOW talked to a Centurylink spokesperson who referred us to the company's Facebook page. There, they had posted the following information:
CenturyLink is currently experiencing a disruption in service. We are working to restore service as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We will continue to work towards resolution until all issues are resolved.
The outages affect customers in 21 states including Wisconsin and Minnesota.
