ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Winona State University - Rochester looked to give back to those in the field of social work Thursday afternoon.
The school held the first annual Winona State Social Work Day.
The event was open to anyone in the field of social work, whether they're a student, graduate, or someone who is in the middle of their career.
It gave people a chance for personal development by attending classes, and guest speaking sessions.
The program coordinator says he hopes people walk away with a sense of community feeling.
University officials said right around 100 people participated in Thursday's event.
