LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - Rather than creating garbage students moving out for the summer at the UW La Crosse can contribute goods they don't want to the Salvation Army.
The donation truck was on campus Friday taking items back to the shelter or to their thrift store.
Items such as furniture, clothing TV's and futons can all be turned in.
"It teaches young people to be a little greener. Instead of filling the landfill, to re-sell and help the homeless" said truck driver Mike Page.
The truck will be at UW La Crosse again on Monday near Sanford Hall from 10 am to 2 pm.
