Music teacher to use Tools for Schools award on new instruments

TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - An upgrade for some musical instruments are coming at Tomah area schools.

Kathryn Wacker received 300-dollars on Wednesday as part of the Tools for Schools award from WXOW and S-S-E Music. The award will help replace the Tomah, Oakdale, and Camp Douglas schools 30-year old instruments.

"I've been teaching in the Tomah district for 30 years and some of the instruments that I have, have been here since I started.  I've certainly tried to replace and replenish as we've gone along.  It does take quite a bit of money to do that at three schools and Tomah has been very good at helping me with that but we always appreciate the extra help too," says Wacker.
