Cobb ready to embrace leadership role

Green Bay, WISCONSIN   The Packers are set at their top three receiver spots, but the upcoming Organized Team Activities, minicamp, and training camp will help determine the two or three spots behind James Jones, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb.

Two 7th round draft picks from last month are part of that group.

They will be looking to the top three for guidance just like Cobb looked at Donald Driver and Greg Jennings.

But with those two now gone, Cobb takes over a leadership role.

But he's still just 22 years old, yet he's long in the tooth when it comes to experience.

"I'm still probably one of the youngest guys on the team, but you know, I do have some experience and I'm going to show the guys that's coming in the way and show them the way. That's going to be one of my jobs is teach them and be a leader on this team. Of course, I'm going to miss those guys. Donald, he's been a great role model to me since I walked in the door. I actually talk to him last night and, you know, also Greg, they've both been role models to me personally. I think it's my turn to lead the rookies and the guys that's coming in now just like I was taught," Cobb said.

The Packers are in the middle of their annual Tailgate Tour and will come to Tomah Friday evening.
