WI natives lose daughter in tornado

FOND DU LAC (WXOW) -- One of the children killed in the Oklahoma tornado has ties to Wisconsin.

9-year-old Sydney Angle was a student at Plaza Towers Elementary School.

Her parents, Dan and Nicole Angle, grew up in the Fond du Lac area.

Her grandparents still live there.

Family friends say they have fond memories of Sydney.

"I actually saw Sydney in November.  She was here for a friend's wedding actually.  She had a smile to light up.  She always had a smile.  She was a wonderful young lady as anybody's child would be," says family friend Laura Schneider.

Friends say they're planning a brat fry to raise money to help the Angle family rebuild after the tornado.
