Wisconsin Woodchucks gear up for season opener

It's a sign of the season.

Opening day for the Wisconsin Woodchucks is Wednesday.

That means crews are working hard to make sure everything is ready to go at Athletic Park in Wausau.

The Woodchucks got in some practice time before their game against the Green Bay Bullfrogs tomorrow night.

The team wants to make sure things are set for the players and the fans.

Excitement for the season opener just continues to build.

"Opening day for every level, every season is always a fun day. You get the nerves going, you get a little nervous excitement," said Jameel Ziadeh, field manager for the Woodchucks, "The optimisim heading into the rest of the season, the players look forward to this and the coaches look forward to this day for a long time."

The first pitch will be thrown at 6:35 P.M. The first 500 fans at the game will receive an opening day rally towel.
