LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - Opening day at home for La Crosse Loggers baseball Sunday.
Crews started prepping the field in the morning.
A completely new in-field sets the stage for the home opener.
This is the 11th year the Loggers have been at Copeland Park.
Loggers General Manager Chris Goodell says the community is a big part of the teams success.
"To our knowledge it's the longest running sports franchise in La Crosse and that doesn't happen without great support in this community from fans, sponsors, host families, the whole gamut. You're not around for that period of time without the support of those people and those groups."
Goodell and the Loggers look forward to the season ahead.
