MAUSTON (WAOW) - A 29-year-old man was jailed on $2 million bond Monday after being charged in the shooting death of a woman behind a Mauston bar.
Cody Treul of Mauston was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, according to online Juneau County Circuit Court records.
According to a joint press release from the Juneau County Sheriff's Department and the Mauston Police Department, two women were shot behind P.J.s Bar and Grill in Mauston just after midnight on Friday. Investigators said one woman was killed and the other was injured.
No other details were immediately released. A detective for the sheriff's department did not immediately return a telephone message Monday.
Treul is to make his initial court appearance June 19.
