LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- It's safe to say La Crosse has Green Bay's number so far this season.
The Loggers cleaned-up the Bullfrogs in a doubleheader this past Wednesday. Then, returning to home soil Saturday night, La Crosse bested the team by the bay for a third straight time.
La Crosse picked up an improbable sweep over Green Bay after a 3-2 win Sunday evening.
The Bullfrogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Brandon DeFazio helped bring the Loggers back. He plated La Crosse's first run in the 4th inning on a base hit just inside the left-field line. DeFazio then netted the game-tying RBI in the bottom of the 9th.
Down to their final out, Matt Risdon sent the La Crosse crowd home happy. A ground ball base hit up the middle gave Risdon the walk-off RBI.
With the 3-2 win, the Loggers improve to 7-5 on the early season. Green Bay falls to 4-7. La Crosse welcomes Eau Claire to Copeland Park for a two game series starting Monday night.
