"Morning After PIll" cleared for unlimited sales

WASHINGTON (WXOW) -- The Obama administration has decided to drop its appeal of a judge's ruling blocking limits on the sale of the "morning after" birth control pill to underage girls.

That sets the stage for the immediate sale of the morning after pill, over the counter, to girls of any age.

A federal judge ruled in April that age limits are "politically motivated."

Last week, an appeals court rejected the government's request to keep the ban on sales to younger teens in place while the case moved forward.
