Victim of Mauston shooting recovering

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 23-year old Mauston woman is recovering from two gunshot wounds.

A UW Hospital spokesperson says Ebony Lasher is listed in fair condition. Lasher had been listed in critical condition last week.

Authorities say Lasher and 29-year old Gayle Howland were shot outside a Mauston Bar May 31. The Juneau County coroner says Howland died of her wounds.

Wisconsin Air National Guard member Cody Truel faces felony charges in connection with the shootings, and remains jailed, with bail set at $2 million.

Juneau County's district attorney says Truel targeted his victims.
