BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The woman police said Tuesday may be with Black River Falls homicide suspect Michael Harmon is found unharmed in Madison.
Black River Falls Police said Wednesday afternoon that Billie Jo Harwick contacted her family by phone on Tuesday saying she was in Madison. Family members got in touch with law enforcement who found Harwick and her vehicle.
According to a statement from Black River Falls Police, Harwick told investigators that she was with Michael Harmon. Police said she's cooperated with authorities and gave details of where she'd been for the past three days.
Police state that Harwick was the person that last saw Harmon in Milwaukee. Authorities wouldn't say when that was. Harmon's remains at large as of Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Black River Falls Police Chief David Frederick told WXOW that Harmon is a suspect in the death of Angela Nelson. She was found in the bathtub of the apartment she shared with Harmon Sunday evening. Authorities are calling the death a homicide, but are not saying how Nelson died.
Harmon is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has information on Harmon's whereabouts, you are asked to contact local authorities.
