Buchholtz was selected the 2013 USTFCCCA National Outdoor Coach of the Year after leading UW-L to its record 12th National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championship May 23-25 at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.  The Eagles scored 66 points to win the crown with UW-Eau Claire finishing second with 64 points.

Stanley, UW-L's distance coach, was selected the 2013 USTFCCCA Men's Assistant Coach of the Year after helping guide his runners to 17 of the Eagles' 66 team points at the outdoor national championships.  Sean Royer finished runner-up at 800-meters, David Stilin was third at 5,000-meters and Jacob Peterson sixth at 1,500-meters.  UW-L's three middle-distance entries to the NCAA Championships was tied for most in the country.
