LA CRESCENT, Minnesota (WXOW)-- World Services of La Crosse is hosting Russian professionals this week.
Thursday morning, six delegates toured our News 19 studio to learn more about the role of news media in the United States and the relationship between journalists, the government and the public.
The group learned about a day in the life of a reporter or anchor.
Some said they were surprised by how each story has to have multiple different versions and couldn't believe how early the Daybreak team has to get up.
"I am amazed by the job done by photographers and news reporters. I think it is incredible if you can get up so early and work and present the stories that are important for your community," said Artem Sergeyevich Gilev, a Russian Delegate.
The group is traveling with a translator named Yulia Willoughby.
Willoughby said one of the delegates has an online media talk show in Russia.
