LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - New details on a shooting Sunday night in La Crosse.

La Crosse Police told WXOW that the victim was a 24-year-old woman who was shot in the lower back in the parking lot behind the Old Style Inn at 828 Fifth Avenue South shortly before midnight.

The woman was taken to Gundersen Health System for what police describe as a non-life threatening injury.  Police report the woman underwent surgery and is in stable condition as of Monday afternoon.

Approximately 15 people, according to police, were present when the shooting took place. Despite the large number of witnesses, investigators state "very little reliable information" was obtained through interviews.
