Clue #6 – June 20 

The Tribune, our Sponsor, is on the way

Will the Medallion be found today?

If east you went by now you're at

The child of a La Crosse Democrat

Forge ahead the memory is here

Although it marks the Love that was held so dear.

Clue #5 - June 19th

A Sculpture is a work of art, Riverfest Medallion Hunt is full of surprises,

Major General, Congressman, Governor Too

If your where I think you are we have Cheap Trick'd you!

Riverfest is North and then head west,

But remember, that La Crosse is the best!

Clue #4 - June 18th

Community volunteers is what it takes,
A strong Board and Crew is what Volunteers Make.
A button of support is very dear
Five dollars helps to bring Riverfest back for 31 years.
You may see these workers Resting under a mighty oak tree,
Thank them, Sincerely, for their labor is free.

Clue #3 – June 17th 

Oh – that last clue was a Cheap Trick, no doubt,

See if you know what this one is about.

Riverfest is filled with fun and cheer,

Great food, music, friends and perhaps a cold beer.

In the Old Style of honor a monument rises,

But if you've gone south you will not win the prizes.

 

Clue #2 – June 16th

 We celebrate the USA with fireworks and bands that play.

We thank the sponsors and volunteers,

Who have joined us for these 31 years.

This game anew, the hunt is on, search until the day is done.

Start at Riverfest, enjoy the show, but to win it's East that you must go.

 

Clue #1 – June 15th

In 14 hundred 92, Columbus sailed the ocean blue,

I salute the flag that I see wave, over the land of the free and the home of the brave.

This is how the 2013 Riverfest Medallion Hunt begins,

You must be 21 years or older to win!

 

The 5th annual Riverfest Medallion Hunt, Sponsored by the La Crosse Tribune, begins Saturday, June 15th, 2013. 10 clues will be given out, one each day.  The  clues will be made available, printed in the La Crosse Tribune and for broadcast on local radio and TV stations at 6 a.m. Clues can also be viewed each day after 6 a.m. on the Riverfest Website at www.riverfestlacrosse.com. Clues will run until the medallion is found closing the hunt on June 25th, 2013.

Here are some Hints for the Hunt.  The Medallion is:

  • located within the La Crosse city limits
  • not buried in the ground or under rocks, etc.
  • on public property
  • accessible 24 hours a day, BUT posted hours should be observed and area residents respected.
  • fits in the palm of a hand

The person finding the medallion should call the phone number on the back of the medallion – 608-782-6000. The finder must be 21 years or older and wear a 2013 Riverfest button to collect the entire prize package

Prize Package:

  • Two Tickets to El Caminos/Cheap Trick concert on July 3rd, 2013
  • Two Riverfest Lapel Pins
  • 2 additional Riverfest Buttons (two included with concert tickets)
  • $25 in Riverfest Food Fair Vouchers
  • 2 Family Area Activity Wristbands for July 6,7, 2013

The winner must be age 21 or older and only one individual will be awarded the prize package and that person must present the Medallion in order to pick up prize package.

Employees of Radio and Television Stations, La Crosse Tribune, Riverfest Board and Commodores and Web Site administrators are not eligible for participation or Medallion Hunt Prize Package.
