La Crosse, Wisconsin - (WXOW) - Thursday morning, Western staff broke ground on the new Western Technical College truck and heavy equipment facility.
This project is the first of six referendum-funded facility projects and is a 2 phase project. It includes building the new facility and renovating the diesel & heavy equipment technology center, located next door.
Not only will the new facility house state of the art technology with bays for working with compressed natural gas, but it will also allow Western to bring all of it's instructors and students under one roof.
Instructor Casey Eglinton states, "...To bring our program, our facility back under one roof, to have all our students under one roof again so that they can have the benefit of being a student and being with their peers. I can't tell you how excited I am to have this happen to our program."
