Wisconsin Rapids Police say a man was rescued after he jumped off a bridge in Wisconsin Rapids Saturday.
Officials say it happened around midnight at the Jackson Street Bridge.
Authorities say officers and bystanders saw the man fighting a heavy current and holding on to a rock wall.
Police say they used a rope to help the man until a rescue boat arrived and pulled him out of the water.
Wisconsin Rapids Police say the man was treated and released from Riverview Hospital and taken to a mental health facility for evaluation.
Officials say crews from the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, Wood County Sheriff's Department and Wood County Rescue helped in the efforts.
