MADELINE ISLAND, WI (WXOW)—The National Transportation Safety Board has released its preliminary report on the plane crash that killed a La Crosse physician and his brother a week and a half ago.
The report says the plane Dr. Richard Renwick was flying crashed into trees before hitting the ground on Madeline Island.
It was destroyed during impact and a ground fire.
The report says a witness heard squealing and screeching tires. And saw the airplane bouncing out of control on the runway.
All major parts of the airplane were accounted for at the accident site.
