LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - St. Clare Health Mission is celebrating its 20th-year in service. Since 1992, the La Crosse based organization has provided free basic health care for more than 16,000 patients who would otherwise receive none.
On Wednesday, Mayor Tim Kabat proclaimed June 24th, 2013 as the 20th anniversary of St. Clare Health Mission and addressed the hard work and dedication put forth by volunteers.
"This is a celebration of volunteers. We are over 300 volunteers strong. They've been going for 20 years. They come together three days a week and see as many people as need to be seen in those times so it's the greatest group of people in La Crosse, says Sandy Brekke, Clinic Director at St. Clare Health Mission."
St. Clare Health Mission is open for walk in care on Tuesday and Thursday, evening registration is from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
