Man arrested after standoff in Tomah


TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Tomah Police arrest a man following a standoff Wednesday afternoon.

According to Tomah Police Lt. Mark Nicholson Officers went to a home at 508 Woodard Avenue for an unrelated incident.  When they arrived, a person at the residence identified himself as 28-year-old Christopher Allen.

Upon checking, officers discovered that Allen had an arrest warrant out from the Department of Corrections. 

When the officers tried to take Allen into custody, he ran and hid in an attic area of the home.  Based on where he was hiding, police called in members of the Monroe County Combined Tactical team to apprehend Allen.  Team members found him in the attic area and took him into custody without incident.
