The first of many Fourth of July celebrations was held Saturday evening.
Soberfest, an alcohol-free celebration, is in its second year. It was held at a local church in Onalaska and featured games, music and face painting.
Just a few blocks away the annual Festival Food's Salute to the Fourth celebration was held at the Onalaska soccer field.
Members of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra played and fireworks began at 10:00 p.m. Both events were free to the public.
