Diocese honors couples married 50 years

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) – Fifty years of marriage is a milestone. Sunday, the Catholic Diocese of La Crosse honored those who achieved it.

News 19 asked one couple what the secret to a lasting marriage is.

"I just did everything that she put on her list every day for me, and kept her happy, and that's the way it worked," said David Reinder.

"It's great. It gets better every day. It's just fantastic. I got lucky," said Mary Jo Reinder.
