Competency hearing for triple-homicide suspect

LAFAYETTE (WKOW) – The Waukesha man accused of slaying three people in Lafayette County could learn if he is competent to stand trial on Monday.

Jaren Kuester has been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation and will have a competency hearing Monday afternoon.

Kuester's attorney, Public Defender Guy Taylor, says an insanity plea cannot be ruled out.

A judge entered a not guilty plea for Kuester in June.
