MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are investigating a large fight involving up to 75 people Friday night.
Officers were called to Theresa Terrace near Bettys Lane around 7:30 p.m. June 28. A citizen had flagged down an officer and when police got there, dozens of people were in the street with a variety of weapons, including garden rakes and dumbbells. Police say some people were using locks in their hands as brass knuckles.
Police say at least three people, all teen-aged females, had significant cuts and broken teeth. Two people were arrested: Mario J. Scott, 17, of Madison and Antwon D. Amos, 20, of Sun Prairie. Scott faces charges of substantial battery and disorderly conduct while armed. Amos faces a probation violation and carrying a concealed weapon. Police say additional arrests are possible.
The call involved 24 officers and three ambulances from the Madison Fire Department. Additional patrol officers were also brought into that area to keep any more fights from breaking out.
