ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A group of Chinese physicians toured Mayo Clinic Health Systems Tuesday. The doctors are learning about the methods of American health care. Some say "patient centered care" is unrealistic for Chinese medicine due to the overwhelming difference in population. However, the physicians say they can still improve their patient care with the knowledge gained during their visit.
Judy Aufenthie, Mayo Clinic Health System's Integrative Health Specialist said, "We gain a lot of information from each other. So each of us has knowledge to share with each other and we can actually truly integrate those kinds of learnings that we have."
These doctors will be in town for a couple of weeks and will be visiting Gundersen next week.
