West Salem, WISCONSIN (WXOW) Racing fans can get their holiday fix at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway Wednesday night.
The Tundra Super Late Models series makes a pit stop in West Salem.
The event features many of the top late models drivers in the Midwest, many of whom have raced in the Okotberfest races.
There will be a handful of local drivers as well.
Close to 40 cars will try to qualify for the main event, which is a 40-lap feature.
The racing you'll see is slightly different than the typical late models seen on Saturday nights.
"Super Late Models are a little bit lighter and have a little more horsepower and they have a little more stickier tires than the cars that normally race here on Saturday nights. They can zip in and out amongst themselves a little bit better than our normal cars," said La Crosse Speedway manager Chuck Deery.
"We race Wisconsin short tracks and take in the local stars that we have in Super Late Model racing. We put them together and came up with this series the last couple of years and it's been pretty cool," said Tundra Series driver Frank Kreyer.
The racing begins at 7:30 Wednesday night.
The Sportsmen and Thunderstox divisions will also race.
