CASHTON, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A Cashton woman is accused of stealing narcotics from a local nursing home.
Vernon County officials arrested 40-year-old Dawn Frederick on Friday.
Frederick admitted taking four Fentanyl patches from Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua when she was employed there at the Certified Dietary Manager.
Frederick faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Fentanyl patch is a narcotic pain medicine used to treat chronic pain. Health experts say it's 100-times more potent than morphine.
