La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) Give the Loggers credit for not letting the end of the first half of the season get them down.
After coming within a whisker of winning the first half division title La Crosse has opened the 2nd half 4-0.
But they'll have to continue their winning ways on the road.
The Loggers begin their longest road trip of the season Monday night, 7-games in 7 days.
But with how well the team has played lately, this might be the perfect time to face a big challenge.
"I said 'listen, let's worry about us as coaches and players getting better as players and human being. Work your butts off and for them to want to be coached.' If we do that we'll worry about game by game and we'll put ourselves in position like we did the first half," said manager Jason Nell.
"I've never been out on the road out here but I heard it's a grind. I'm pretty excited. I think our pitching staff has done well. Our hitting has been very aggressive. I think we should have a good road trip," said 3rd baseman Chris Keck.
Keck just joined the team after being part of UCLA's national championship run at the College World Series.
The Loggers road trip takes them to Lakeshore, Battle Creek and wraps up in Wausau against Wisconsin.
