Shots fired at Grant County residence

SMELSER TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- Grant County Sheriff's were called to a residence on Rock Road in Smelser Township for shots being fired from a truck that drove by.

The victims, three males, stated they were standing outside the residence Friday, July 5th around 8:30 p.m. when a UTV with a couple of people on it drove by.  One of the victims heard someone on the UTV comment about wanting to shoot someone there. 

A short time later, a black truck drove by the location and three gunshots were fired from the truck.  No one was struck or injured nor was any property reported as being struck.  The truck, with three occupants, fled the area prior to law enforcement arrival.

A deputy located a vehicle matching the description of the truck was located shortly before 11:30 p.m.  Officers from several agencies, including a K9, conducted a high-risk vehicle contact. 

A man and woman were both detained.  Upon further investigation, it was noted Bradley Wilson went to the address on Rock Road, as a passenger in the truck driven by Aaron Gregory.  Wilson shot a Ruger .357 handgun out the window of the truck towards the residence.    

The following charges are now being recommended to the District Attorney's Office.  John Henry: party to the crime - endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.  Aaron Gregory: obstructing, party to the crime - endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and bail jumping.  Bradley Wilson: 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. 

The Grant County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Cuba City Police Department and the Platteville Police Department.
