Loggers big sticks shoot down Mallards


La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  The Loggers broke out of a slump with a 12-run outburst on their way to a 12-5 win over Madison Tuesday at The Lumberyard.

Kevin Zak had a home run and 5 RBI's to lead the way.

La Crescent native Troy Traxler had two hits and two runs batted in as well.

The Loggers scored 6 runs in the 4th inning to take the lead for good.

Steve Hagan was the winning pitcher and improved to 6-1 in the season.

Hagan is the league leader in wins.

Also, the win was the 200th Northwoods League win in the career of Loggers manager Jason Nell.
