Northwoods League All-Star Game Banquet

Eau Claire (WQOW) -- Eau Claire is the host of the Northwoods League All-Star game for the second time.

The keynote speaker for the NWL All-Star Banquet is former Minnesota Twins manager Tom Kelly, who led the Twins to World Series titles in 1987 and 1991.

The Express will have two players on the South Division roster: Eau Claire native and pitcher Tyler Sparger, as well as outfielder Charlie White.

Sparger is in his third NWL season and his first with the Express.  As Eau Claire's closer, Sparger has recorded 12 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings, with 6 saves.

White has battled injuries for much of this season, but has put up good numbers in 43 games.  He's hitting .308, with 13 RBI, and 24 stolen bases.
