HARTFORD (WXOW) – According to court documents, Hartford police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman as a homicide.
Jessie Blodgett was found dead in her bedroom on July 15.
According to our Milwaukee affiliate, WISN-TV, the court records say Blodgett's parents told police their daughter attended a cast party for a local theater production the night before and returned to her parents' home around 1:00 a.m.
Documents indicate Blodgett's mother placed clothing in her daughter's bedroom around 8:00 a.m., but when she returned home after work around noon she discovered her daughter was dead in her bed and called 911.
The search warrant shows investigators observed a "ligature mark" on Blodgett's neck but did not find anything in the room or house that could make such a mark.
Police declined to comment about the case on Monday.
