Educating Student Athletes About Banned Substances

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  Logan High School's activities director is among many talking with student athletes about the dangers of banned substances.

Steve Hole says the discussion is important, in part, because those substances are not good for the athletes.

Hole meets with athletes and their parents four times in the fall, once in the winter and again in the spring.  During that meeting he provides students with a card from the WIAA defining what a banned substance is.

Hole says if students are discovered using banned substances, they issue suspensions along with what he says are other consequences.
