Fans gather for Packers' first practice

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Green Bay Packers fans are lined up outside the fence at Ray Nitschke Field outside Lambeau Field Friday to get their first look at this season's team.

And not all fans are from the Packers' home state. They've traveled from Iowa, Washington State, Missouri, Minnesota and Michigan to check out the rookies and watch the veteran players.

The bleachers outside the field are full and among those standing along the fence is a woman who has dressed her tiny dog in a Packers cheerleader's outfit for the occasion.

Young fans lined up with their bikes to give the players a ride from the locker room to the practice field across the street, a tradition that has gone on for many years.
