MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The US Coast Guard is responding to reports of a single-engine plane down in Lake Michigan.
Our Milwaukee affiliate, WISN-TV reports Mitchell International Airport contacted the Coast Guard after the aircraft disappeared from radar.
WISN also talked to Petty Officer Christopher Yaw. Yaw says they found debris in the water. The Coast Guard, fire department and other local agencies have been searching for the plane about three miles off the shore of Cudahy.
There's no word on how many people were inside the plane.
