LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- The La Crosse Loggers avoided dropping two in a row Saturday night and hung on to a 10-7 win over Green Bay.
Zack Rivera set the tone in the 4th inning. Rivera launched a 3-1 pitch deep to right and gone, breaking a 1-1 tie. La Crosse would lead 3-2 into the 5th inning.
Brandon DeFazio extended the advantage with a double to the wall in left field. Austin Rei scored on the play to make it a 4-2 lead. Later in the frame, Bobby Juan singled two runs home. La Crosse would lead 6-2 after five innings.
Green Bay managed to battle back, but La Crosse held on to the three-run victory. The Loggers improve to 11-10 in the second half standings.
