Thursday, a jury fond Anthony Keepers, 27, guilty of several charges including Armed Robbery with Use of Force and Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.

In October, 2012, Keepers walked into the Sparta Travel Center at 4105 Theater Road, pointed a handgun at the clerk, and demanded money and cigarettes.  The clerk complied and Keepers left without harming the clerk.

A few minutes later, a Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy saw Keepers driving on Highway 16. When the officer tried to pull him over, he took off at speeds in excess of 125 mph along Highway 16.
