Madison, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The answers to the off-season questions for the Badgers football team will begin to come to light on Monday when Gary Andersen holds his first practice as head coach.
Friday, though, was a day to relax.
It was football media day on campus.
Among the popular topics is the starting quarterback battle.
Curt Phillips and Joel Stave started last season and are both back.
So is junior college transfer Tanner McEvoy who also figures to challenge.
"Obviously all of us want to play. All of us want to compete. But I don't look at it as pressure. It's just a competition. It's something we've all been through before," said Stave, who missed part of last season with an injury.
"I've learned a lot from learning the offense the best I can. I'm just kind of waiting for camp to start," said McEvoy.
"I look at it as just my position to lose. But at the same time I've been in a quarterback competition every year I've been here. So it's something I'm very used to. It's something I enjoy," said Phillips.
Phillips finished last season as the starter and was the starter in the Rose Bowl game against Stanford.
