Madison, WISCONSIN Fall camp began Monday for the Wisconsin Badgers, the first under new head coach Gary Andersen.
It also means the quarterback battle is officially underway.
A lot of eyes following Tanner McEvoy today.
This was the media's first look at the junior college transfer.
The 6'6" sophomore showed off a nice arm.
But has a bit of a side-arm or three-quarters delivery.
McEvoy, like the other quarterbacks, had an up and down day.
So, the battle continues.
"Threw the ball very well in pass skelly (7 on 7 drills), but when it became real football, 11 on 11 it became very average. So we'll go back and evaluate the film tonight and see where it sits but this is going to be a process not one day is going to make or break a starter but every day is unbelievably important for those three as we continue through camp," Andersen said.
The Badgers opener is August 31st against UMass.
They will hold a scrimmage next Monday.
